St John of God Foundation celebrates Telethon Family Festival 2025
St John of God Foundation is deeply grateful to once again be selected as one of the many charity beneficiaries of the Channel 7 Telethon Trust’s incredible support. This partnership ensures that state-of-the-art maternity and paediatric equipment continues to be available across St John of God hospitals, helping provide exceptional care to vulnerable babies and their families.
Thanks to Telethon’s generosity in 2025, funding will support vital equipment and initiatives including:
- Moort Boodjari Mia (Family Pregnancy House) Midwifery Outreach Service
- Moort Boodjari Mia (Family Pregnancy House) Safe Sleeping Packs
- Telemetry Fetal Monitoring Machines
- Bilistick Devices
- Humidifiers and Nitric Oxide for Neonatal Oxygenation
- Paediatric Cars for transport to surgery
At the Telethon Family Festival, our caregivers and Foundation team hosted an interactive booth, where families could meet health care heroes, dress up as doctors and nurses, and learn how Telethon’s support continues to make a life-changing difference for newborns and their families.
Philanthropy Director Preema Wong reflected on the heartwarming experience of the day:
“It was incredibly moving to meet families who had experienced our neonatal and maternity wards and to hear how much our caregivers mean to them. The compassion and dedication of our midwives and clinical teams are truly inspiring, and events like Telethon remind us just how powerful community generosity can be. We are so grateful for Telethon’s ongoing support in helping us deliver the very best start to life for WA’s littlest patients.”
The St John of God Foundation extends heartfelt thanks to the Channel 7 Telethon Trust and the Western Australian community for their enduring generosity. Together, we continue to create brighter beginnings for babies and families across our hospitals.
