As Easter approaches, I find myself thinking about the people we serve and the extraordinary courage it takes to reach for hope when life has given you every reason not to.

Sometimes hope comes in the form of a new treatment option or research, in gentle comfort, the steady presence of someone who cares, or a moment of relief in the midst of uncertainty. These small, human moments remind us that even in the hardest times, new possibilities and renewal are possible.

In the daily work of our Foundation, we see this hope every day. It appears in the care offered to someone facing illness, in the dignity restored through kindness, and in the reassurance that no one is alone in their time of need. These acts of compassion carry extraordinary meaning.

So often, these moments are made possible because of people like you. Your generosity enables care that goes beyond what is expected or funded through ordinary means - care that reaches further, responds more deeply, and honours the whole person with compassion, dignity and humanity. Your support brings hope to life in real and deeply felt ways for patients, clients, families and communities.

This spirit reflects the example of our founding sisters, the Sisters of St John of God, who reminds us that hope is not something we wait for, it is something we create through acts of service, kindness and solidarity. Their legacy lives on in the care we provide, and in the community of supporters who stand alongside us in that Mission.

At Easter, we are reminded that even the smallest act of generosity or compassion can carry profound meaning. Through your support, hope is present where it is needed most.

Thank you for the difference you make in the lives of so many.

On behalf of every caregiver at St John of God Foundation, I wish you and your loved ones an Easter filled with peace, hope and renewal.

With gratitude,

CEO, St John of God Foundation
