Australia Post has advised us of recent security breaches at their Melbourne GPO on Bourke Street, which may have impacted multiple GPO box holders, including St John of God Foundation.

Dear supporters,

Australia Post has advised St John of God Foundation of security breaches at their Melbourne GPO facility on Bourke Street earlier this month, which may have impacted multiple GPO box holders, including that of St John of God Foundation.

Australia Post is unable to confirm if any items were taken from specific PO Boxes, however they believe some non-receipted mail articles (including standard letters and parcels) may have been stolen. Australia Post has increased their security at the GPO and reported the incident to Victoria Police.

What this means for you 

If you have sent us mail via post from 1 July to 17 July 2025 and haven’t seen a donation appear on your bank statement, received a tax deductible receipt or received a response to any other enquiry within the expected timeframe, please call us on 1800 281 288 Monday – Friday 9.30am – 6.30pm (AEST) or email us at [email protected]
