At St John of God Health Care, we see the power of thanks in action every day.
From heartfelt interactions between caregivers and patients, through to life-changing donations, every expression of thanks has the power to make a day or even change a life.
For Terry, supporting colorectal cancer research at St John of God Subiaco Hospital was a deeply meaningful way to express his gratitude for the exceptional cancer care he received at the hospital over 22 years ago.
“Cancer has affected me and my family deeply, which is why we are committed to supporting better health outcomes for others; for generations to come,” says Terry.
“Research is so important because it is the only way we can get closer to finding answers, to finding a cure.”
If you have received exceptional care and want to celebrate a specific caregiver or a significant experience, sharing a personal expression of gratitude or making a donation to support future patients can be a meaningful part of the healing process
“It’s so important for us to provide an opportunity for patients and loved ones to honour or thank their caregivers in a way that is truly meaningful to them while supporting better treatment options for future patients,” says St John of God Subiaco Hospital CEO Tina Chinery.
